Various people are starting to get curious about exploring psychedelic substances further, especially psilocybin. Usage is slowly becoming more mainstream. Due to increased information shared from research and clinical trials, people in their inner circle having personal psilocybin experiences and recently even a Netflix documentary: ‘How to change your mind’.

It can be considered an amazing gift to themselves, when people are taking control and looking for different ways to contribute to their general health & wellbeing. I am not an advocate that claims everybody should be using psychedelic substances. Yet, if you are curious and feel it might be something that can support healing and growth there should be safe ways for you to explore.

1. Feeding your curiosity

That goes way further than going for a hero dosis and see how far that can bring you. It starts with being able to talk about it openly, without judgement. In my psilocybin walks I take that even further. The approach lies somewhere between microdosing and going for a full journey. I want to offer people a safe place to explore and discover if, and how psilocybin can work for them and contribute to their general health and wellbeing in a safe and non judgemental setting.

Getting started with Psilocybin

Due to an intake form or exploration call I will identify your level of current knowledge of psilocybin practices and need for further information and knowledge. In that way I can customize the experience towards your personal needs, whatever that may be. I believe in real matches and would never force connections of any kind. Energy is a powerful and valuable currency. And we should be mindful of how it’s transferred in interactions.

2. Explorative guided walks in nature

After experiencing a guided psilocybin meetup there is no obligation to like me or continue working with me in the future. You don’t owe me an explanation. In the process of looking for healers, coaches and health care facilitators, the only thing that matters is that you feel safe, understood and believe their support is going to help you grow or heal further. The moment you have a choice, see this as a luxury and be honest to yourself and the facilitator when making a choice to work together.

Nature walks are fun and explorative

3. How do I guide your psychedelic experience?

I hold space, ask questions and guide you towards your answers. Convinced that you already know what you need and are looking for within. Often people only need to create the space to feel that. If you intentionally take psilocybin; plant medicine, spend time in nature, and know that another person can hold you. It often creates a setting where you can come closer to bringing those answers to the surface.

4. Free of expectations

What I need from you? Surrender. There are no expectations. You don’t have to achieve anything, there are no goals, and there is no good or bad outcome. You simply are. And that is all you have to be in that moment.

I know it can be scary and unknown working with psilocybin for the first time, it probably feels unfamiliar, as we most of the time are pretty aware of our surroundings, of expectations of ourselves and others. We tend to overthink and shut down what we feel, or simply don’t allow ourselves to do so. During that walk, experiencing what comes up is essential for growth.

5. Feelings and emotions

It’s not possible to experience without feelings or emotions. Did you explore the difference between feelings and emotions? Do you know the whole range of emotions we are capable of experiencing? For some people, this might be common sense, while for others (such as myself) I learned his later in life. I was emotionally not grown up as I never really learned to navigate my feelings and emotions, let alone understand what they are. Sounds weird right? Even being highly educated and having a high-profile job I was still lacking emotional intelligence.

Both emotional experiences and physical sensations — such as hunger or pain — bring about feelings, according to Psychology Today. Feelings are a conscious experience, although not every conscious experience, such as seeing or believing, is a feeling, as explained in the article.

According to Psychology Today, an emotion
“can only ever be felt…through the emotional experiences it gives rise to, even though it might be discovered through its associated thoughts, beliefs, desires, and actions.”

Emotions are not conscious but instead manifest in the unconscious mind. These emotions can be brought to the surface of the conscious state through for example psychedelic exploration.

A fundamental difference between feelings and emotions is that feelings are experienced consciously, while emotions manifest either consciously or subconsciously. Some people may spend years, or even a lifetime, not understanding the depths of their emotions, psilocybin is considered to be a tool that can help you explore that further.

6. Going towards your feelings and emotions

Throughout my psychedelic experiences, I learned to move towards those feelings and emotions rather than suppressing or run away. Sometimes they dissolve or there is greater understanding. It can be hard work to move towards something uncomfortable. From what I’ve learned, when it’s driven by curiosity, you show compassion and hold on to love it’s hardly ever as hard as you imagined it to be!

It helps to believe you will never get thrown into something you can not handle at that specific moment, you can manage. Believe me, you’ve got this. And if got you.

Curiosity is one of the most beautiful trades we can have and hold on to. It helps you to expand, explore, play and see the beauty in things.

A lot of us lost that curiosity being busy every day having too many responsibilities, routines, and structures. Making it ‘easy’ for ourselves to hold on to day-to-day routines, not questioning what we do, why we do it, simply figuring out the most effective and efficient way to get through our days and to-do lists.

7. Expanding your mind

There is absolutely something to say for that, it helps you to reach goals and probably supports your idea of succes. But even when living a life like that don’t underestimate the power of the unknown, the power of curiosity, and the spark that can be triggered by our expanded and curious minds. Expansion and exploration are key to moving forward in this life and whatever might come after.

I can continue writing for hours but I tend to believe there is beauty in not trying to catch every experience and put it into words. That especially goes for psychedelic-influenced sensations like the use of Psilocybin.

Psilocybin exploration

So if you are keen, curious, and triggered by reading this and wish to explore it yourself, do reach out for a psychedelic walk. Currently I exclusively work with psilocybin, mainly truffles but if you’d wish to use your own (grown) mushrooms that’s ok as well. When it comes to LSD or other psychedelic substances, I’d wish to go on more personal journeys first before guiding others.

8. Integration after psilocybin is essential

In my next writing, I’d continue further on how I’d love to work further after a walk. The main steps for me are adjusting to new insights, making shifts in thinking or behavior, and working towards (personal) growth and expansion depending on the themes and subjects that occurred.
